The benefits of a private Catholic education cannot be overstated. Parents choose a Catholic school for their children for a variety of reasons including the high academic standards the schools provide, along with a safe environment and an emphasis on values that will stay with the students throughout their lives.
After their children complete a private elementary and middle school education, families have a decision to make: whether to stay the course and attend a private Catholic high school, or to switch to the public school system. Families with children in public school through eighth grade, who may not be satisfied with the quality of the education their children have received to that point, may also be considering sending their students to a private high school.
All area 8th grade students are invited to visit Newman Central Catholic High School for 8th Grade Day. "This is an annual event that we host so that eighth grade students who are considering attending a private high school can visit us and learn all about our school," explained Tim Nelson, Director of Development and Admissions. "Members of the Class of 2024 are invited to NCCHS on Friday, January 17th. Our school will not be in session that day. We'll offer group tours courtesy of Newman Student Ambassadors, presentations and activities with faculty members, and a complimentary lunch. The event begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m." Attendees are asked to RSVP to Debbi Kelly at (815) 625-0500 ext. 118, or at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Newman Central Catholic High School offers a wide variety of sports opportunities and social and academic clubs, and strives to create a special bond among its students, parents, administrators, and the church, so that all share a strong sense of community.
