Morrison Community Hospital Introduces Dr. Thane Cody, Board-Certified ENT

Morrison Community Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Thane Cody, an ENT physician, to its Specialty Clinic staff.   Dr. Cody has over 30 years of experience treating patients   of all ages, from infants to adults.   An Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) physician, also known as an otolaryngologist, is trained in the medical and surgical management and treatment of patients with disorders and diseases of the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck.   Otolaryngology is the oldest medical specialty in the United States.

Dr. Cody graduated from the Wake Forest School of Medicine in 1991, and completed his residency and medical school training at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education.   He is Board Certified with the American Board of Otolaryngology in Head and Neck Surgery, and has extensive experience and expertise in the treatment of head and neck cancers and thyroid tumors.

He has helped numerous patients with the treatment of allergies, chronic sinusitis, deviated septum, facial trauma, hearing loss, polyps, sino-nasal disorders, smell disorders, and swallowing disorders, and provides diagnostic and therapeutic treatment of acute and chronic conditions such as hoarseness, earaches, nosebleeds, snoring, obstructive sleep apnea, and enlarged tonsils.   Dr. Cody is also able to treat patients experiencing acid reflux and other upper GI maladies, and has extensive experience treating more complex problems of the head and neck, including malignancies, neck masses, and reconstructive issues.

Dr. Cody will be joined by his Physical Assistant, Jessica Raasch.   Ms. Raasch currently treats patients in Morrison Community Hospital’s Family Care Clinic, which she will continue to do in addition to her duties with Dr. Cody.   She is certified in ACLS, ATLS, TNCC, and PALS.
