The Carroll County Health Department announced 46 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday. That included positive test results over the weekend as well.
The new cases include 17 people in their 30s, 16 in their 40s, six in their 50s, two teens, two people in their 20s, two in their 70s and a person in their 60s.
Carroll County has now had 204 total cases of the novel coronavirus, of which 56 are inmates at Thomson Prison. Carroll County has had four COVID-related deaths.
Ogle County, also announcing cases from Saturday, Sunday and Monday, announced 17 new cases Monday – three from Saturday, three from Sunday and 11 from Monday.
Lee County reported seven new cases Monday, three of which are from the Dixon Correctional Center. There were also two students from Dixon Public Schools who have tested positive. Two residents have recovered and were lifted off isolation.
The Whiteside County Health Department announced seven new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, with those new cases involving people in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. Whiteside County also had five recoveries.
Whiteside County had 49 new cases in the week ending September 13, compared to 71 new cases in the week before that. The new cases by age group in Whiteside County rose in just one age group last week, with 11 new cases among people age 40-49 compared to five the week before.
Whiteside County has had 650 cases and 20 deaths. Lee County has had 299 cases, 253 recoveries and one death. Ogle County has had 592 cases, 535 recoveries and five deaths.
Sterling has had 3,015 tests and 236 positive cases. Rock Falls has had 1,607 tests and 113 cases. Dixon has had 4,604 tests and 221 cases. Rochelle has had 3,033 tests and 266 cases.
Illinois announced 1,373 new cases and five deaths on Monday. The state has had 262,744 cases and 8,314 deaths.
