MOUNT. CARROLL – Timber Lake Playhouse is canceling all performances and events through the end of July.

TLP staff are busily working with concert promoters and licensing agents to reschedule these dates and developing plans for a new schedule, Executive Director Dan Danielowski said in a news release this afternoon.

Now the schedule begins with the opening of "Jesus Christ Superstar" on Aug 6. It continues with "What a Wonderful World" on Aug. 20 and "The Buddy Holly Story" on Sept. 10 at the theater at 8215 Black Oak Road.

Before all that, TLP will begin with a Summer Kick-Off party and concert on July 25.

There also will be a fall Beer Fest and concert with the Eagle’s Tribute Band, Heartache Tonight, on Sept. 26.

"Annie", "Lend Me a Tenor", "Legally Blonde", and "Ain’t Misbehavin’" will not be performed this summer.

“We have continued to be in touch with our resident company through video conferencing and emails,” Artistic Director, Paul Stancato said in the release.

“They are anxious to get started and excited that TLP is still planning to produce summer productions, even though they are delayed.”

The 37 members of the resident company come from all around the country.

Ticket holders will have several options to use their tickets. For shows and concerts that remain on the schedule, patrons will see their tickets automatically transfer to the new dates.

Other options include exchanging tickets for cancelled shows for other shows or concerts.

TLP is also looking at additional offerings in October.

Season subscribers can use their subscriptions for TLP alternate subscription season including October shows once they are announced, and for the TLP Christmas show.

Subscribers also may exchange their 2020 subscriptions for next year’s, or get a refund, which TLP is encouraging be taken in the form of a gift certificate. Unused tickets or subscriptions also can be donated help TLP, which is taking a hard hit financially because of the coronavirus.
