Holy Koloni, Batman! Rock Falls Tourism unleashes its new fleet of ride-sharing bikes

Koloni rental bikes are out for the season, at stations behind the Days Inn, the Hennepin Canal, and at RB&W Park along the riverfront. Rock Falls Tourism launched the bike-sharing program at the very end of last summer, so the bikes are all practically brand new. They cost $1.50 an hour to use, and to do so, you must download the Koloni Share app to your smartphone, sign an agreement and have the Bluetooth-controlled bicycles back in the rack no later than 9 p.m. Instructions are posted at each station. The bikes are equipped with GPS trackers, so anyone who misses the deadline or leaves a bike out in the community could incur penalties.
