ROCK FALLS – Evelyn Darlene (Jacobs) Siperly, 91, passed away on February 27, 2020 at Rock River Hospice Home in Sterling.

Evelyn was born in Milledgeville on October 22, 1928, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Hutchison) Jacobs. She married Gerald Siperly on August 24, 1946, in Rock Falls. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1995. Evelyn worked at Borg Warner for 15 years. She was a member of the Milledgeville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her loving children, Larry (Amanda) Siperly of Milledgeville, Linda (Allan) Brandt of Woodlawn, IN, Connie Brandt, Sandra Balk, and Vicki (Terry) Bocker, all of Lanark; one sister, Beverly Bennett of Memphis, TN; 12 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Gerald; one son, Gerald Siperly Jr; two sisters; and one granddaughter.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March, 2, 2020 at McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., with Pastor Rick Koch and Pastor Joel McClellan officiating. Private family burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock River Hospice Home. Special thank you to Dr. Luckey and the staff at Rock River Hospice Home, as well as McDonald Funeral Home.
