Pray in school if you like

Contrary to what some letter writers believe, prayer is not banned from public schools.

The Supreme Court has ruled that an individual or a group may pray in public school as long as the prayers are not disruptive or infringe upon others.

And as far as public prayer goes, what about Matthew 6:5, where Jesus instructs his followers how to (and where to) pray?

Some would have it that the cause of so many problems in schools is because praying is illegal there ... but it isn’t. Leading organized, mandated prayer is.

This is to my mind a non-issue, and to link this misconception with problems in school and society is not constructive and does nothing to help the problems in public school and society.
