Millennial group changes its name

STERLING – The Sauk Valley Millennial Group has changed its name to the Sauk Valley Keystone Group and is gearing up to identify new goals.

The group is affiliated with Sterling Main Street and the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, and it focuses on issues related to workforce development in the community.

One of its main projects was to raise funds to bring a dog park to Thomas Park, which is slated to be built in the summer.

The group also recently formed a nine-member steering committee that will lead meetings and organize task forces to address goals that will be developed this year through conversations with community members.

Members must be born after 1981 and live within the Sauk Valley Area.

Find the Sauk Valley Keystone Group on Facebook or call the chamber at 815-625-2400 for more information.
