What do folks usually do the day after Christmas? Some bundle up and brave the cold weather to head to the return lines at the store; or maybe the kids grab the sleds Santa left them and hit the slopes – but not this year. People were grabbing fishing poles and boomerangs as they enjoyed the unseasonably warm weather. The mercury’s been feeling pretty merry this week as temperatures climbed all the way into the upper 50s, which proved to be a cure for cabin fever, but gave some people an early case of spring fever. Things will cool off today, with temperatures dropping into the lower 40s, then warm up again over the weekend, with a high of 51 Saturday and 57 on Sunday, followed by more seasonal temps in the mid 30s. The weekend also will bring some rain, so it looks like folks will have to head back inside and enjoy all of those Christmas gifts – some assembly required, of course.
