DIXON – The Next Picture Show once again will host the acclaimed American Watercolor Society Traveling Art Exhibition, which will run Friday through Jan. 1.
The exhibit showcases 40 watercolor paintings from around the world at The Next Picture Show, 113 W. First St. It's one of six locations chosen across the country to host the exhibit.
Works featured were chosen from work submitted by more than 1,200 artists from throughout the nation and 27 foreign countries.
Three of the pieces that will be on display include Gold Medal Winner: “The Chalk Artist” by Kathy Simon-McDonald, from Bradenton, Florida; Silver Medal Winner: “Oh, the Tangled Woods She Leaves” by Bivenne Harvey Staiger, from Cromwell, Connecticut and Bronze Medal Winner; “Ambience of Jiufen” by Chung-Wei Chien, AWS, D.F. from New Taipei City, Taiwan.
