DIXON – Carol A. Giese, age 81, of Dixon died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, at KSB Hospital in Dixon. 

She was born May 27, 1938, in St Paul, MN and was the daughter of Richard and Lucille (Klapprodt) Conkrite. Carol worked at Borg Warner in Dixon for 14 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St Patrick Catholic Church. Carol married Robert Giese June 29, 1957, at St Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon.

Carol was a member of the “57” girls. She enjoyed bird watching, playing cards and cribbage. Her favorite times were spent with all of her family in the same room. She loved her family with all her heart, especially her soul mate and best friend Bob. She will always be remembered for her sweet demeanor, beautiful smile and can do attitude.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Fred Giese, Bill Giese and Gordan Craig.

Carol is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Lora (James) Harrison of Dixon, Lynn (Kevin Carroll) Musser of Dixon, Lisa (Doug) Bushman of Rockford; twin sons, Richard (Heath) Giese of Mechanicsburg, PA and Robert (Angela) Giese of Goodyear, AZ; grandchildren, Emily (Jon) Dempsey, Abby Harrison, Bailey Musser, Olivia Musser, Rachel Musser, Riley (Colton) Youngs, Molly Bushman, Anthony (Alex) Giese and Andrew (Shannon) Giese; six great-grandchildren with one on the way. She is also survived by brother-in-law, Kenneth (Barbara) Giese of Oregon; sisters-in-law, Mary Giese of Dixon and Mary Craig of Stuart, FL.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, beginning with a 10 a.m. prayer service at the Jones Funeral Home followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon with the Rev. Keith Romke officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon. Visitation will be Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. 

A memorial has been established to the American Heart Assoc.
