DIXON – No one was hurt Tuesday afternoon in a shop fire at Lazers Machining and Welding on Penrose Road.
Dixon Rural Fire Captain Isaac Dimmig said the department received the fire call at 3:01 p.m.
“It was in a garage out back of the house. It was a detached garage, and the fire didn’t get to the house. We had six departments involved,” Dimmig said.
Firefighters completed the call at 5:34 p.m. The business is owned by Larry Zimmerman, according to the Lazers Machining entry on buzzfile.com.
Dimmig did not say how the fire started, but did say there is no further investigation planned.
