STERLING – Sterling’s own contemporary Christian and folk rock band Finding Home, which is celebrating the release of its first album, “Here I Go,” will perform a free concert Dec. 14 at Abiding Word Church.
The five-piece band, consisting of the Jacobs siblings – Molly, 19, on violin and keys, Maddie Rose, 17, lead singer and guitar, Max, 15, on drums, Marykate, 13, background vocals, and Menter, 11, bass guitar – will take the stage at 7:45 p.m., after an opening performance by Bradley McClendon at 7:15 p.m.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. at the church at 806 E. Lynn Blvd.
Maddie Rose and Molly founded the band; their siblings joined in as they learned their instruments and their musical talents grew. They’ve been playing churches and coffee shops locally and all over the region.
“Here I Go” features their single, “Have Your Way,” and nine other original numbers. Copies of their CD will be available at the show for $10.
If you miss the concert in Sterling, the band will be performing Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. at The House Cafe, 263 E. Lincoln Highway in DeKalb.
