Christmas walk in Dixon
DIXON – The downtown Dixon Christmas Walk runs from 6 to 9 p.m.Friday, and features the lighting of the KSB Christmas tree, the Grinch's Christmas Parade, ice sculpting, blacksmith demonstrations, crafts, vendors, carriage rides, food, music, late-night shopping, Santa and much, much more.

An evening of Israeli music
STERLING — The Israeli musical group Sofi & the Baladis will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at Sterling High School's Centennial Auditorium, 1608 Fourth Ave.
The five-member ensemble, led by singer Sofi Tsedaka, features soulful and richly textured performances of an array of musical traditions that lie at the heart of Israel’s diverse and historic cultures.

Christmas concerts in Dixon, Clinton
DIXON – The Dixon Municipal Band's annual free Christmas concert begins at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Historic Dixon Theatre, 114 S. Galena Ave.

Or, take a trip out of town to the Clinton Symphony Orchestra’s annual holiday concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Vernon Cook Theater in Clinton High School, 817 Eighth Ave. S.
Tickets cost $20 for adults at the door or in advance at Grummert’s Hardware, 424 Locust St. in Sterling. Students are admitted free; each student can bring one adult for half price.

It's a wonderful radio Christmas play
MOUNT MORRIS – The Performing Arts Guild presents “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pinecrest Grove Theatre, 414 S. Wesley Ave.
As was customary in radio plays, each cast member will portray several different character voices.

Christmas open house at the Dillon Home
STERLING – The Dillon Home's 19th annual Christmas open house will offer nonguided walk-throughs of the museum, an 1858 Italianate all decked out for Christmas, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at 1500 E. Third St.
Guided tours are available during regular museum hours, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday. The last tour is offered an hour before closing.
Refreshments will be available in the carriage house, courtesy of the Sterling-Rock Falls Historical Society.
