DIXON – Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church is one of 70 churches nationwide to have a Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dog. This years marks the third anniversary of the program.
Shiloh, a golden retriever, has done work in the area and has traveled around the country for this ministry.
She has served nine states and Washington, D.C. In February, she visited Parkland, Florida, in the aftermath of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting.
Shiloh also serves in the K-9 Police Ministry, and works with first responders and their family to support them spiritually and emotionally.
She also has attended many police and fire funerals, as well as events for surviving family members of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
