Clinton Iowa CVB to host summer 2017’s Rockin’ The River Music Series

Clinton, Iowa is situated along the banks of the mighty Mississippi River, offering tourists and residents year-round enjoyment and the friendliness of a small town.  Summer events are plentiful, and one hometown favorite is the Rockin’ The River Music Series.  The Clinton, Iowa Convention & Visitors Bureau is the proud sponsor of these free music concerts for area residents and tourists to celebrate in Clinton, Iowa.

The first Rockin’ The River event drew hundreds from the area for a wonderful night of great music, tasty food, and lots of fun.  The next concert will be held on Saturday, July 15th at the Hy-Vee field located at 901 S. 4th Street in Clinton and will feature The Dinosaurs at 3:00 pm and Down 24 at 5:00 pm. Attendees can purchase food from the Hy-Vee Grill or Kelley Girls Pizza beginning at 3:00 PM; ice cream and soft drinks will also be available.  The over-21 crowd can enjoy the Beer Garden, and kids will enjoy playing QC Knockerball and jumping in the bouncy house.

The Rockin’ The River Music Series continues on Saturday, August 26th at the Riverfront Bandshell, 251 Ballpark Drive in Clinton, with the Caribbean sounds of Jumbies from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Enjoy food to purchase from Caribbean Kitchen, Kelley Girls Pizza, Mahala, 392Caffé, Holly’s Dogs and Hillbilly Jack. You can once again enjoy the Beer Garden and QC Knockerball. Remember to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to sit on at these events, but please note that there are no coolers allowed.
