KEWANEE – Garrett E. “Garry” Butts, 41, of Kewanee, formerly of Sterling, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at his residence in Kewanee.

STERLING – Hazel I. Krebs, 89, of Sterling, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at Coventry Living Center. She was a dietary aide at CGH Medical Center for several years.
TELFORD, Tenn. – Blanche K. Sliger, 81, of Telford, Tenn., died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at John M. Reed Nursing Home, Limestone, Tenn. She was a homemaker.
MOLINE – Marion I. Whitver, 91, of Moline, formerly of Chicago, Coal Valley, and Rock Island, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at Bickford Cottage, Moline. She was employed as the personal assistant of Chicago attorney William J. Friedman, for more than 40 years.
STERLING – Christopher D. Golden, 22, of Sterling, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at his residence.
STERLING – Thomas J. Murphy, 75, of Sterling, formerly of Lisle, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Coventry Living Center, Sterling.
OREGON – Donna M. Brantner, 71, of Oregon, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at Serenity House, Oregon.

STERLING – Marina Palmero, 80, of Sterling, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Sterling Pavilion Nursing Home. She was employed by Self Help Enterprises, Sterling.
AMBOY – Squire “John” Hardy, 64, of Amboy, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at his sister’s home in Amboy. He was employed by Byron Nuclear Station for 18 years before retiring.
ROCK FALLS – Alvade A. Adami, 88, of Rock Falls, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at CGH Medical Center.
STERLING – Beatrice Beverly Card, 95, of Sterling, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Sterling Pavilion. She was employed by Frantz Manufacturing, Sterling; and co-owned and operated Bix Furniture Stripping and Refinishing, Sterling, with her husband, Les, until she retired.
ROCK FALLS – Velma Foskitt, 93, of Rock Falls, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Coventry Living Center, Sterling.
DIXON – Mary June Stoker, 88, of Dixon, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at her home. She was a Realtor for 20 years before retiring in 1989. She also owned and operated Trash and Treasurers Antiques in Mount Morris.
HAMILTON, Ohio – Alberto Lugo, 51, of Hamilton, Ohio, formerly of Sterling, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at his home.
ROCK FALLS – Nancy L. Bingham, 71, of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at CGH Medical Center.
WALNUT – Danny W. Thompson, 60, of 202 N. Fifth St., Walnut, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at his home. He was employed by Dietz Drainage, Walnut, as a heavy equipment operator, for the past 16 years.

ROCK FALLS – David Neal “Poorboy” Willis, of Rock Falls, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, in his home, after a long illness.
STERLING – Bernard J. Higley, 65, of Sterling, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, as a result of an accident in Lee County.
VANDALIA – George F. Peck, 78, of Vandalia, formerly of Rock Falls, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at St. John Hospital, Springfield.

STERLING – Joseph David Ortiz, 74, of Sterling, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at CGH Medical Center. He was a custodian.
WALNUT – John M. “Johnny B” McGonigle, 54, of 211 Walnut Grove, Walnut, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at Walnut Manor Nursing Home.

STERLING – Alice A. Oberbillig, 93, of Sterling, died peacefully in her sleep, Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at Coventry Living Center, in the care of Unity Hospice.
