ROCK FALLS – Mary Jean Baroncini, 85, of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

STERLING – Peggy J. Prescott, 79, of Sterling, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.  

SHIPMAN – Michael P. Ryan, 60, of Shipman, passed away Tuesday evening, May 14, 2013, at his home.

STERLING – Dorothy Ann Warren, 87, of Sterling, died Friday, May 17, 2013, at Sterling Pavilion. She was employed as an office clerk at several area businesses.  

DIXON – William Eugene Pitchford, 55, of Dixon, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at KSB Hospital in Dixon.

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – Mark A. Dowd, 59, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Englewood, Fla., and Sterling, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, after a short battle with cancer.

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Mavis J. Norman of Melbourne, Fla., died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, after a long and courageous struggle with pancreatic cancer. She was 82. We are grateful for the thoughts and prayers that continue to stream her way. Her life ended in peace with her family close at hand.

CHADWICK – Mildred Tripp, 81, of Sterling, formerly of Chadwick, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

FRANKLIN GROVE – Donna Mae Cochrane, 83, of Franklin Grove, died Friday, May 17, 2013, at Franklin Grove Living Center. She was a cook at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb for 10 years until retiring.
