Felon held on heroin charges

WALNUT – A rural Walnut man accused of selling heroin to an informant will be arraigned May 13 in Bureau County Court.

Travis J. McInnes, 31, is charged with felony delivery of a controlled substance.

Police said McInnes delivered about 1.1 grams of heroin to a person working with the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics team at 2:23 p.m. April 24 in the 2800 block of North Main Street in Princeton.

McInnes is in Bureau County Jail on $25,000 bond.

According to Bureau County Court records, McInnes was sentenced to 5 years in prison on two counts of burglary in 2005, and to 3 years, 6 months for two counts of theft involving a firearm in 1999.
