State Green Party leader to speak
STERLING – The public is invited to hear Sterling native and Green Party leader A.J. Segneri speak at the Rock River Open Forum meeting at 6 p.m. March 14 at the Rock Falls Public Library, 1007 Seventh Ave.
Segneri’s presentation is titled “Cooperatives as an Alternative Economy for the Sauk Valley.”
Segneri, 31, recently was elected vice chairman of the state Green Party’s seven-member executive board, which overseas party operations, he said in a news release. He was chairman of the Whiteside County Green Party from 2008 to 2011.
