10 blocks under boil order thanks to water main break

ROCK FALLS – A 12-inch water main break has prompted the city to issue an emergency boil order for 10 blocks: the 1000 to 1500 blocks of Fifth Avenue, the 200 blocks of West 13th, 15th and 16th streets, and the 1500 block of Lindy Avenue.

Repairs are under way; residents will be notified on Channel 5, by Sauk Valley Media or by other local news outlets when the order is lifted.
