Four SHS students headed to state

STERLING – Four Sterling High School students will compete in three events at the state speech tournament Friday and Saturday in Peoria after advancing out of the sectional speech tournament Saturday at Sterling High School.
The students and how they finished are:
– Clarissa Worcester, sophomore, and Hunter Wolfe, junior, third in humorous duet acting
– Hannah Matheney, senior, first in poetry reading
– Zach Woessner, junior, second in radio speaking
The Sterling High School team finished sixth overall. Twenty-six teams from the area competed at the sectional meet.
