DIXON – Mr. Tequila Bar & Grill is giving locals another option for Mexican food.
The restaurant at 844 N. Galena Ave. opened about 2 months ago in the short-lived Frittsy spot.
The colorful restaurant, painted in green and orange and packed with plants, features a full bar with televisions.
It serves about 15 to 25 patrons for lunch most afternoons and fills up more at dinner time. Weekends are the busiest.
It also offers carryout.
On the menu are chimichangas, enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas, fajitas and several other Mexican dishes. Reservations are not needed.
Mr. Tequila is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Call 815-677-9280 for more information.
