Drum circle formed in Mount Morris
A dozen drummers formed a circle Monday evening to share their love of the rhythmic instrument that drives the beat of music. The twelve drummers had dozens of instruments from traditional Irish folk drums and bass drums to the more eclectic found-object drums – coffee cans, flower pots and suitcases. Each instrument had a distinct sound created by the player which added to the unique sounds of traditional rhythm patterns. Aireloom Music Studio in Mount Morris hosted the event outside the studio led by instructors Mary Ley and Chris Kolling.
