A day after Valentine’s Day, love was still in the air Friday at Rethave Care & Rehabilitation in Morrison, where residents renewed their wedding vows. Seven couples said “I do” again after a combined 412 years of marriage. The longest-wed lovebirds were Marvin and Ila Geerts, who first walked down the aisle 72 years ago. The newlyweds among the group were Joe and JoAnne Seelye, who celebrated 38 years as man and wife. The nursing home went all out for the couples, printing up invitations, staging a procession and reception, having a blessing of rings, and inviting friends, family and other residents.
