Rock River Valley International Fellowship exchange students got a serving of American culture along with a helping of Thanksgiving turkey this week as they toured the Sauk Valley. It was the first Thanksgiving for many of the students, who also took part in other activities such as laser tag, tours of historic sites, and a hay bale ride on a farm, all in an effort to spread awareness of the exchange program and experience life in America. The event was hosted by the International Thanksgiving Homestay Program in partnership with the International House of Chicago. Seven communities took part: Sterling, Rock Falls, Dixon, Prophetstown, Morrison, Geneseo and Paris.
