They’ve kept their motors running halfway across the U.S., and on Thursday, they stopped in Rock Falls to take a break before tackling the other half. Riders in the Motorcycle Cannonball Endurance Run made a pit stop at Workman Harley-Davidson before heading west on their coast-to-coast trip. The ride – which runs from Portland, Maine, to Portland, Oregon, and is held every other year – is billed as the “most difficult antique endurance run in the world.” The 3,750-mile route runs along mostly two-lane, back roads. After rumbling into Rock Falls, riders headed off to their next stop, in Anamosa, Iowa, for the National Motorcycle Museum. You can follow their ride at motorcyclecannonball.com or find Motorcycle Cannonball on Facebook.
