Huzzah! It’s time again for the Bristol Renaissance Faire, just over the border in Wisconsin.
The faire – held on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as Labor Day, from July 7 through Sept. 3 this year – spreads out across 30 acres and gives guests a place where they can watch jousts, see the queen and her court, be entertained on 20 stages, dine on food and spirits to warm the stomach, shop at an array of merchants selling their wares and enjoy an abundance of music, dance and song. Speaking from experience, I’ll say it’s very hard to select one over another.
As if choosing what to do isn’t hard enough, the faire is offering a new option this year. Visitors can join teams and vie for victory in friendly competitions twice a day. There also will be games people can play. Don’t be timid; if they look like fun, give them a try.
