Round and round and up and down they went. Festivalgoers flocked to the Petunia Fest carnival Thursday to take a spin on the rides that rolled in to town. People can buy tickets for rides or get all the thrills they want for a $25 armband, which entitles them to unlimited rides for the day. The carnival will be around until Sunday. The Petunia City’s premier celebration continues today with The Ultimate Air Dogs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. on Lincoln Statue Drive, the ice cream social from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and Family Fun Night from 5 to 7 p.m, both at the Old Lee County Courthouse, where the Dixon Municipal Band Concert will perform some patriotic tunes at 7 p.m. Go to petuniafestival.org or find Dixon Petunia Festival, Inc. on Facebook for a complete schedule and more information.
