Members of The Women of the Moose and some young helpers packed a lot of caring into a few hours Wednesday evening. Volunteers put together cancer patient care bags at the Moose Family Center in Sterling. The bags were filled with blankets, scarves, hard candy, adult coloring books, puzzle books, stress balls, hand lotion and many other items, all of which were donated to the cause. The bags will be given to Rock River Hospice for cancer patients who could use a little extra pick-me-up to bring a smile to their day.
