Welcome to Pet Idol Contest!

How does it work?

Submission - Enter your pets photo and $10 submission fee by going to the submission page and filling out the form.

Voting - Register to vote under the registration tab and purchase votes in packages, click on the Voting tab when voting begins to vote on your favorites.

After the submission period is over on May 17th, 2013, you will be able to vote during the following time tables:

Round 1 - May 22nd to June 5, results of the top grossing pets will be published on June 14th and they will move on to Round 2.
Round 2 - June 12th to June 28th, results of the top grossing pets will be published on July 11th and they will move on.
Round 3 - July 11th to July 18th, results will be published on July 23rd.

Where does the money go?

Proceeds from Pet Idol go to Newspapers in Education (NIE) Program - which provides local classrooms with the most up to date textbooks!
A portion of the proceeds will also go to Granny Rose and Happy Tails - which will help with the care of local animals while they wait to find their forever homes.

Are there prizes?

The 13 winners will be the Stars of our 2014 Sauk Valley/River Ridge Animal Hospital Pet Idol Calendar.
GrandPrize winner will receive gift basket courtesy of River Ridge Animal Hospital and be featured on the front
cover of the Calendar and also befeatured in an ad being voted our Sauk Valley Pet Idol.
