Three vehicles and $10,000 worth of woodworking materials were destroyed in a garage fire Monday, April 15, 2013.

Rock Falls Fire Department was called at 2:21 p.m. to the garage at 2809 W. Rock Falls Road, where the garage, which was at least two stories, was a total loss, Fire Chief J.W. Larson said. No injuries were reported. A 1970 Buick LeSabre, a Harley motorcycle and a John Deere tractor were in the garage and were destroyed, said Pat Dugal, 65, who owns the home and the garage with her husband, Dan, 67. The cause of the fire was undetermined, Larson said. Dugal said her husband was putting papers in a wood stove in the garage and cleaning the garage shortly before the fire. "It was a big ball of fire when we got here," Larson said. Fire departments from Tampico, Prophetstown, Sterling, and Dixon assisted, as well as a CGH ambulance.
