Press Conference (Full/Uncut) - Tampico Farm Accident

Two young teen girls were electrocuted Monday morning in rural Tampico, and six more were hurt in the accident, which happened while they were detasseling.

Authorities wouldn't reveal any of the workers' names  — all of whom were likely younger than 18. They worked for Monsanto Corp.

Monsanto has shut down its local detasseling operations in the Sterling-Rock Falls area for the time being.
