MORRISON - After 3 years of planning, construction, and inspections, Resthave Home will open its doors to the three newly-built extensions which are the assisted living area.

Each wing consists of small apartments off a main central hall. The apartments each contain a small kitchenette, living room, separate bedroom, and a separate bath. Seventeen residents began the move Nov. 25.

There will be an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday on the corner of Wall and Jackson streets.

Resthave Home was founded in 1960. Its board has embarked on a building project: adding three assisted living wings, a new nursing wing and a remodeling of the original space for additional assisted living apartments, kitchen, and offices. Funding for this project is through The National Bank of Morrison and the United States Department of Agriculture.
