Vehicle crash; 10:10 a.m. Monday at Short and Washington streets, Prophetstown; a Whiteside County squad car was eastbound on Short Street when a vehicle driven by Doris I. Hildenbrand, 81, of Tiskilwa emerged into traffic from an alley and struck the squad car in the side. Both drivers’ views were blocked by a box parked in the street that was being unloaded; no arrests; damage over $1,500 to both vehicles; no injuries reported.
