Two charged in Polo burglaries

OREGON – Two young Polo men already charged in a one-night burglary spree in Dixon now also have been charged in eight of about 40 break-ins in the Polo area.

Ryan C. Miller, 20, and Dylan E. Green, 17, were charged Wednesday, Miller with six counts of residential burglary and two counts of burglary, and Green with one count of residential burglary and two counts of burglary.

A co-defendant in the Dixon break-ins, Brian Arriola, 19, of Polo, has not been charged in Ogle County.

According to court documents, Miller is charged with residential burglary of five homes in Polo, one on Aug. 18, one on Sept. 22, and three on Sept. 23.

Both Miller and Green are charged with residential burglary at a home about a half-mile north of Polo on Sept. 25.

The two are also charged with burglarizing two Polo businesses, the Red Apple on Aug. 17  and Shear Madness on Aug. 30.

Miller has been in the Lee County Jail since Sept. 26, when he, Green, and Arriola were arrested in connection with five to 10 residential and 10 or so auto break-ins that night in Dixon.

Green was released after posting bond Oct. 7.

Both have pleaded not guilty in that case.

Arriola, too, is in Lee County Jail. He has not yet entered a plea.
