DIXON – Mary June Stoker, 88, of Dixon, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at her home. She was a Realtor for 20 years before retiring in 1989. She also owned and operated Trash and Treasurers Antiques in Mount Morris.

Mary June was born July 27, 1921, in Scranton, S.C., the daughter of Alton and Ferbia (Barfield) McCants. She married Eldon E. Stoker on Nov. 20, 1943, in Charleston, S.C. He preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1989. She was a member of St. Bride’s Episcopal Church, Oregon.

Survivors include one son, Kim (Jill) Stoker of Dixon; two daughters, Kay (Tim) Gogerty of Ennis, Mont., and Dona (Shane) Nelson of Dixon; one brother, Joseph McCants of Scranton, S.C.; four sisters, Jack (Richard) Williams of Arlington Heights, Oree Farthing of Rock Hill, S.C., Janice (Ben) Hicks of Hixson, Ga., and Ruth Weaver of Scranton, S.C.; six grandchildren, Laura Stoker, Julia Stoker, Sara Bearman, Samuel DeCrane, Spencer DeCrane, and Shane Nelson; and two great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by four sisters, Barbara Jean McCants, Grace Prosser, Gladys Adams, and Sue Harris.

Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at St. Bride’s Episcopal Church, 1000 state Route 64 W., Oregon, with the Rev. Robert Cristobal officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon.
