Rinne, Preds shut out Hawks
Pekka Rinne had 22 saves Thursday to help the Nashville Predators shut out the Chicago Blackhawks 2-0 in Nashville, Tenn.
The loss snapped the Blackhawks’ and goalie Cristobal Huet’s two-game winning streak.
The Hawks’ best opportunity came while short-handed but Rinne stoned Kris Versteeg late in the first. The power play for the Hawks continued to struggle, as they failed to get a shot off in their first chance. It was the 12th time in the last 13 tries the power play failed to score.
