ROCK FALLS – Anna M. Rose, 84, of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Heritage Woods, Sterling. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Rose was born May 11, 1925, in Appleton, Wis., the daughter of John and Henrietta (Vosbeck) VandenBroek. She married Shelton “Jack” Rose on June 19, 1948, in Sterling. He preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 1987.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ellen (Louie) Segneri of Oregon, and Kathy Wetzell and Faye (Larry) Helms, both of Rock Falls; two sons, Robert (Jean) Rose of Fond du Lac, Wis., and Thomas (Ann) Rose of Rock Falls; two sisters, Grace Rogers of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Helen Yach of Appleton, Wis.; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Rock Falls, with Monsignor Thomas Dzielak, celebrant, officiating. Burial will be at Coloma Township Cemetery, Rock Falls. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., with the rosary recited at 4 p.m., today at McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

A memorial has been established.
