DIXON – Deanna Lynne McIntyre, 51, of Dixon, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, Iowa. She worked at Kable News, Mount Morris.

Deanna was born Sept. 11, 1958, in Iola, Kan., the daughter of William Sanford and Evelyn Mae (Ledford) Thomas. She married Melvin D. “Paul” McIntyre on May 13, 2009, in Dixon. Deanna was a member of First United Methodist Church, Dixon.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin McIntyre, and son, Matthew (Angie Leaptrot) Kornewald, both of Dixon; her brother, William (Chris) Thomas of Paris, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Austin and Jordon Kornewald, and Tanis O’Brien.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon, with the Rev. Tony Hawkins, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Dixon, officiating.

Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established to the American Heart Association.
