Gaming convention in Rockford Oct. 23

ROCKFORD – Miniature pirates, soldiers, and creatures from the vast reaches of time and space will converge for the 36th annual Rock-Con gaming convention Oct. 23-Oct. 25 at the Indoor Sports Center, 8800 E. Riverside Blvd., Loves Park.

Rock-Con, the Midwest’s premier gaming convention, includes something for beginning and experienced players of every type of adventure gaming.

Daily and full weekend admission rates are available and may be paid in advance or at the door. Admission is $8 on Friday, $15 Saturday, and $8 Sunday. A weekend pass is $22. Children younger than 12 are admitted free. Hours are 7-11 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Rock Con 2009 is sponsored by Mayfair Games, Reaper Miniatures, Ironwind Metals, The Last Square, and Noble Miniatures.
