
Community reports $10M in tornado damage
WILLIAMSVILLE, Ill. (AP) — Officials in the small community of Williamsville estimate about $10 million of damage after a tornado hit last week. The community is about 10 miles northeast of Springfield has around 1,400 people. Williamsville Village President Thomas Yokley says the community is better shape after a clean-up program and another could be scheduled in the coming days. At least two tornados struck central Illinois last week. Williamsville was hit the hardest.
