Danny Conkling

ROCK FALLS – Danny D. “Butch” Conkling, 64, of Rock Falls, died Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Transitions Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Rock Falls. He was employed by Self Help Enterprises, Sterling, for more than 20 years.

Mr. Conkling was born July 4, 1945, in Dixon, the son of Dale and Ann V. (Cobb) Conkling.

Survivors include his mother, Ann V. Dace of Rock Falls; a sister, Barbara (Gary) Noon of San Antonio; two brothers, Jerry (Diane) Conkling of Dixon and Randy (Debbie) Conkling of Rock Falls; three stepbrothers, Dale Dace, Gary Dace, and Dean Dace; and a stepsister, Mary Jo Gilmore.

He was preceded in death by his father; his stepfather, Dwight Dace; and his stepbrother, Ronald Dace.

The funeral is at 10 a.m. Monday at McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation is from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

A memorial will be established.
