DIXON – A benefit supper and auction is 5-10 p.m. today, Saturday, for a Dixon family whose baby was born three months prematurely and is in for a long hospitalization.

Jozilyn Rayne Eshleman, daughter of Ashlynn and Shawn Eshleman, was born May 19 at Rockford Memorial Hospital, where she must remain while she more fully develops. She also will require extra care when she gets home.

The benefit is at the Dixon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 540, 1560 Franklin Grove Road. Hotdogs, brats, chips, pork and beans, coleslaw and soft drinks will be served; cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children.

There will be a silent auction featuring a four-person, 18-hole golf outing at Timber Lake Country Club, Kane County Cougars baseball tickets, jewelry and gift certificates.

There will be games, a cakewalk, baked goods and a raffle. N and G DJ will perform, and folks can play bingo for $6 a packet of sheets.

In addition, a fund has been established at The National Bank of Sterling.

For more information, call Michele Drew, 815-677-0124.
