Xander Aldridge

DIXON – Xander Charles Aldridge, 5-month-old son of Brian Aldridge and Jessica Shaw, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at KSB Hospital.

Xander was born Jan. 2, 2009, in Savannah, Tenn.

He is survived by his mother, Jessica Shaw of Dixon; his father, Brian Aldridge of Sterling; sisters, Kira Aldridge of Rock Falls and Nina Aldridge and Morgan Flynn, both of Sterling; his maternal grandparents, Jeanine (Duane) Gillihan of Savannah, Tenn.; his paternal grandmother, Judith Duis of Sterling; maternal great-grandparents, Elaine and Charles Mills of Savannah, Tenn., Betty (Lou) Pfulb of Flippen, Ark., and Harold Gillihan and Connie Cornstubble, both of Sterling; aunts, Natalie Duis of Harmon, Heidi Bennett and Jessica Gillihan, both of Sterling; uncles, Brett Aldridge of Mount Vernon, Dustin Holcomb of Dixon, Brandon Gillihan of Detroit, and Randy Mills of southern Illinois; and his best “Puppy Brother” Izzy Bean of Dixon.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Shaw; his paternal grandfather, Earl Aldridge; and his uncle, Tyler Shaw.

Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at McDonald-Allen-Grennan Funeral Home, 505 First Ave., Sterling, with the Rev. Jason Borton of Harvest Time Bible Church, Rock Falls, officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
