Bernard Cotes

HOHENWALD, Tenn. –  Bernard Bruce Cotes, 67, of Hohenwald, Tenn., formerly of Detroit, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at his home. He was a retired factory worker.

Mr. Cotes was born May 24, 1942, in Detroit, the son of Oliver and Irene Cotes.

He married Barbara Otten on July 3, 1993, in Milledgeville.

Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Pamela Moody, Lisa Cotes, and Dianna Cotes, all of Kewanee, and Julie Hendricks and Dawn Thayer, both of Sterling; four sons, David Cotes of Oklahoma, Stephen Cotes of Kewanee, and Brian Lapp and Kelly Lapp, both of Milledgeville; a sister, Nancy Haberer of Pecatonica; 24 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

Memorial service is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Berean Baptist Church, 1119 10th Ave., Rock Falls, with the Rev. Roger Carlson officiating.

Arrangements were completed by Rose of Sharon Funeral Home, Pulaski, Tenn.
