Dean Gors

ROCKFORD – Dean Allen Gors, 42, of Rockford, formerly of Sterling, died Monday, June 29, 2009, at his home. He was an ordained minister and youth pastor at Faith Tabernacle Church, Rockford.

Mr. Gors was born Feb. 15, 1967, in Sterling, the son of Judith (Freet) Gors. He served in the Air Force. He was a member of Faith Community Church, Rockford.

Survivors include two sons, David Allen Gors and Matthew Keith Gors; his mother; a brother, Leland Gors; a sister, Melinda (Jeff) Bagg; a sister-in-law, Barbara Gors; nine nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Wayne Gors.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, with the Rev. Jeff Hart, pastor of Faith Community Church, Rockford, officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established.
