Betty Schrock

MADISON, Wis. – Betty L. Schrock, 71, of Dixon, died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison, Wis., after an extended illness. She was employed by BorgWarner, Dixon, for 29 years, retiring in 2002.

Betty was born Feb. 19, 1938, in Oakdale, Calif., the daughter of Antonio and Adeline (Weems) Funari. She married John Schrock on March 3, 1956, in Dixon. He preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1981.

Survivors include a daughter, Janet Schrock of Dixon; a son, Alan (Debra) Schrock of Mount Vernon, Ohio; and two sisters, Mary Ledbetter of Chandler, Ariz., and Virginia Boatman of Ottawa.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Kaye and Mae; and a brother, James.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Dixon, with the Rev. Bob Hale, former pastor of Dixon Church of the Nazarene, officiating.

Burial is at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon. Visitation is from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established.
