Margaret Snap

ROCKFORD – Margaret “Ruth” Snap, 77, of Rockford, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at Provena St. Anne Center, Rockford.

Mrs. Snap was born April 22, 1932, in Amboy, the daughter of Joseph L. and Katherine (Happ) Mills. She married Gerald Lee Snap on Jan. 17, 1954, in Dixon. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1977.

Survivors include a son, Robert Gerald Snap of Texas; two brothers, Arthur (Jane) Mills and Ralph Mills, both of Dixon; three sisters, Velma Slothower of Rockford, Sister Mary Innocence Mills of Frankfort, and Verna Scott of Naperville; a brother-in-law, Albert (Janice) Snap of Forreston; a sister-in-law, Lucille Mills of Dixon; and several nieces and  nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Paul and Joseph Mills.

The funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Ave., Rockford. Arrangements were completed by Olson Funeral & Cremation Services, Rockford.
