Man killed in one-car crash west of Morrison

MORRISON – A 19-year-old Morrison resident was killed early Sunday in a one-car crash west of the city.

Aaron W. McGrath was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on U.S. 30 near Hillside Road

According to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department, the vehicle was westbound on U.S. 30 about 5:25 a.m. when McGrath lost control and went into the ditch.

After traveling in the ditch for some distance, the vehicle hit a driveway access point and became airborne. It rolled and came to rest on its top.

Morrison Police, Fire and Ambulance and Hunter’s Auto Body assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
